Place Ports Dialog

To access: select an object in the Design Browser Window or Diagram Window, press Space Bar and enter Port, or right-click an object and select Add Port.

Used to add existing ports or new ports to an instance of an object.

• Select Ports Lists existing port available for selection. Select any ports that you want to place on the instance of the object and click Place. Click on the locations where you want to place the ports on the object in the Diagram Window. If a port symbol is grayed-out, that port is not currently placed anywhere. Mandatory if object has library part, otherwise optional.

• Place - Individually Select this to manually place the ports one by one on the object instance. Optional.

• Place - As Group Select this to place all selected ports as a group in one action. Optional. This video demonstrates how to add pins as a group in Capital Logic Designer. Placing ports as a group follows a very similar procedure.

• Create Returns you to the Diagram Window where you can click on the object instance to create and place a new port. Not displayed if the object has a library part.
