Capital Cable Router

Embellishing the Nodal Network

You can specify a limited number of node or segment attributes on the nodal network to influence the routing process.

Restrictions and Limitations

  • The network of cableways available in Capital Cable Router are imported directly from NX; therefore, most of the attributes are read‑only.

  • You can only update network characteristics relating to the routing process or reporting of routes rather than the network itself.

Prerequisites

  • Select a network segment or node.

Procedure

From the Segment / Node Details pane, specify the following attributes to modify the default values inherited from the equipment library in NX:

  • Volume Fill Threshold % — Percentage of the space reservations above which the segment is flagged as "overfull".

  • Weight Fill Threshold % — Percentage of the weight reservations above which the segment is flagged as "overfull".

  • Blocked — Controls whether additional cables can be routed along the segment.

  • Fill Type — Method used to calculate the percentage fill of the segment space reservations.

  • Usable Area — Area on non‑standard penetration segments that is available to route cables where the aperture shape (opening of a penetration segment through which the cable passes) is irregular.
