Finding and Selecting Objects

This topic explains how to search for an object in a diagram by using its name.

Procedure

1. With the diagram open, press Space Bar and enter Select By Name.The Select By Name Dialog is displayed.

2. In the Name field, enter the name for which you are searching and use the Regular Expression option to specify whether the name string you entered is a full name (unselected) or a partial string (selected).

3. Click OK.

4. Any objects with matching names are selected in the diagram and in any browser trees where they appear.
