Included On BOM Setting

You can set the Included On BOM attribute on add / edit component dialog boxes to include / exclude a main node component and any of its associated components on any Bill of Materials (BOM) tables.

Associated components:

  • Additional Components and Nested Components

  • Cavity Plugs

  • Extra Cavity Components

  • Modular Connectors

  • Backshells

Where the main component has associated components:

  • If you change its attribute from ON to OFF, a message box is displayed to choose: Automatically set the Included On BOM attribute value of all its associated components to OFF.

Preserve the current Included On BOM value of all of its associated components.

  • If you change its attribute from OFF to ON, a message box is displayed to choose: Automatically set the Included On BOM attribute of all associated components to their default setting that is defined in Capital Component Manager.

Preserve the current Included On BOM value of all associated components.

Default Settings for Wires and Multicores

The system applies the following default Included on BOM settings:

Object Setting
Wires
Single wire True (or as defined on its Library Part)
Wire that is part of an assembly False
Wire nested in a bought-in multicore False
Wire nested in an in-house multicore True
Multicores
Single bought in multicore True (or as defined on its Library Part)
Single in-house multicore False
Multicore that is part of an assembly False
Multicore nested in a bought-in parent multicore False
A bought-in multicore nested in an in-house parent multicore True
Terminals
Ring terminal added as a main component node False
