Copy FM Codes to PM Code Space

This action copies all non-technical project or design level functional module codes and their relationships into production module code space. The new codes are added to the project production (or design level) code manager.

This is a manual action. The same action is preformed automatically when you run the Simulating Production Technical Variations from the PM Module Explorer and Generating Production Technical Variations flows.

To invoke the action, select Copy FM Codes To PM Code Space from the Automate > Modules ribbon. See Figure 420.

Alternatively, select Space Bar and enter Copy FM Codes To PM Code Space.

The codes and their relationships are copied. Figure 421 and Figure 422 show the FM and PM codes before the copy.

Figure 423 shows the PM codes after the copy.

Note

The copy process does not include folders from the FM space.

The Capital Harness Designer Modular console tab displays the results of the copy, as shown in Figure 424.

After copying the FM codes, you can add them as applicable PM codes to your design and use them (and their copied relationships) to manually partition the harness into production modules, see “Variant Production Module Generation”.
