Viewing a Cable in 3D Context

You can select cables in Capital Cable Router to cross-highlight and evaluate the cable details and the cable route in 3D.

Prerequisites

  • Load the nodal network and 3D assembly associated with the project in the 3D visualization window.

Procedure

Determine the action you want to take:

If you want to… Do the following…
Locate a cable on the 3D assembly and the nodal network. From Capital Cable Router, search for and select a routed or partially routed cable. Note You can select the results in the Search pane or in the Manage Routing Requests dialog box. The cable is cross-highlighted on the network segments from the Start to End nodes in the 3D visualization window.
Identify the 3D assembly where the cable is located. Select the cable in the 3D visualization window. Click the Assembly Navigator icon. The Assembly tree is expanded to the 3D assembly where the cable is located. (Optional) Select or clear the 3D assembly check box to show or hide the geometry in the 3D visualization window.
