BOM Publish and Reporting

When you publish a Bill of Materials (BOM) from a logical design to Siemens PLM Teamcenter, the devices and single line objects in the design and the associated details are included in the Teamcenter BOM structure.

You can generate a Teamcenter Logic Component BOM report to view the library parts, attributes, and properties specified on the devices and single lines in the logical design, such as the From Device and To Device details, before publishing the BOM to Teamcenter.

Restriction

If the single line is branched to three or more devices, only the first and last device end connections are published in the Teamcenter BOM structure. You can use the Single Line terminating at more than two devices design rule check to identify branched single lines in the design which will publish with two device end connections in the BOM.

When the BOM generation is complete, the device and single line details are listed in the Teamcenter BOM structure and are available to route in the cable design using Capital Cable Router and NX. See also “Marine Electrical Flow” in the Capital Cable Router User Guide.
