Box
To access: Click the Save visualized wiring () button on a visualized wiring view.
Used to save the wiring view as a Capital Logic Designer design.
Objects
| Object | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | A unique label to identify the design. |
| Properties | Click this button to access the Edit Design Properties dialog box, from where you can create properties to associate with the design. |
| Revision | Specifies the version of the design, allowing multiple updated versions of the same design to exist in the database. |
| Short Description | Enter a line of descriptive text to provide more information about the design revision. This information is displayed alongside the design name and revision in the Project Browser Window. |
| Description | This is a free-text field into which you can enter additional comments or notes relevant to this design. |
| Release Level | This field is used to record the design’s progress through the stages of the design lifecycle. A number of system-defined release levels are available, but it is possible to create custom levels in Capital Project Manager (see the Create a Project’s Release Levels topic in the Capital Project Manager User Guide for more information). Regardless of the number of custom levels available, they must correspond to one of the system-defined release levels: If no custom levels are configured, the only option available is Draft, which is selected by default. Any custom levels configured must correspond to the Draft system-defined level, so select the custom level required as dictated by your internal procedures. |
| Abstraction | If you are using design abstractions, select the abstraction to which this design belongs, from the dropdown list. Maintained in Capital Project Manager, abstractions allow you to group related harnesses together for reporting purposes, providing a “view” of a subset of a vehicle’s wiring. See the Create a Project’s Design Abstractions topic in the Capital Project Manager User Guide for more information. |
| Domain | If you are using domains to restrict user access to designs, select the domain to which this design belongs from the dropdown list. Only users with access rights to the selected domain are able to access this design. Domains are created and associated with user accounts in Capital Access Manager. See the Domains topic in the Capital Access Manager User Guide for more information. |
| Applicable Options | The options that apply to this design. Click the ellipsis (...) button to the right of the field to launch the Applicable Options Dialog, from where you can select the option codes available. Once selected, the available options are displayed in the field. These options - created and maintained in Capital Project Manager - can then be applied to the components on the design. Note Prototype wiring functionality does not use the options specified here. Capital Systems Integrator always re-calculates option expressions. |
| Option | The option or option expression that you want to apply to the whole design. Click the ellipsis (...) button to display the Edit Option Expression Dialog where you can select a single option or create an option expression. Note Prototype wiring functionality does not use the option expression specified here. Capital Systems Integrator always re-calculates option expressions. |
| Prototype Details | This section includes fields related to prototype wiring. See Prototype Wiring for an explanation of this concept. |
| Folder | Specify an existing design folder in which to save the generated Capital Logic Designer design. Either enter it manually or click the ellipsis (...) button to display a Choose Folder dialog box where you can select an existing folder. If you do not enter a folder, the design is saved at the top level of the project. |
| Add Prototype Constraint for Visualized Signal/Multicore | Disabled if you have selected multiple signals to visualize. Select this if you want to add a Prototype Wiring constraint to the Capital Systems Integrator design. The system adds the constraint to the Edit Prototype Wiring dialog box for the Capital Systems Integrator design. The constraint specifies that wiring synthesis will use wiring from the generated Capital Logic Designer design for the selected signal or multicore. |
