Deleting Production

Technical Variations

You can select one or more Parent Module codes in the PM Codes tab and automatically delete all of its Production Technical Variation Codes.

Prerequisites

Parent Production Module folders containing Production Technical Variant codes exist.

To invoke the action, select one or more Parent Module folders in the PM Codes tab and use one of the following methods:Select the Delete Production Technical Variations action from the Automate > Modules ribbon.

Right-click and select Modular > Delete Production Technical Variations.

Press Space Bar and enter Delete Production Technical Variations.

A message box displays advising that all technical variations for the selected module codes will be deleted.

All selected Technical Variant Codes are deleted.
The deletion process un-assigns any objects associated with any technical codes that have been deleted.
All selected technical codes are removed from the design or project.
To analyze each design in the project to see if they are using any of the technical codes, the system checks that each design is not locked by another user. If any design is locked, the deletion is aborted and a message is displayed which details the name of the locked design.
If any object in another design in the project has an assignment to one, or more, of the technical module codes being deleted, the deletion process displays details of the codes in use in the Capital Harness Designer Modular console tab, as in Figure 425. Figure 425: Code in Use
If none of the codes are in use, the deletion process unassigns each technical code from all objects, and removes the codes from the design. The codes are removed from any combination and if the combination is empty then it is also deleted. Details of any code and combination deletions are displayed in the Capital Harness Designer Modular console tab, as shown in Figure 426. Figure 426: Codes Deleted
