Consolidated Harness

Component BOM Report

This report consolidates Bill of Materials (BOM) details for all (or a selection) of child designs in a parent design, or all designs from a build list, into a single XLSX report file.

Figure 302 shows an example report. (For illustrative purposes, it is colored and has hidden columns).

Consolidation

  • Components are consolidated per design.

  • The report includes all components that have their “Included On BOM” (IOB) attribute set to “True”.

  • Components with Unit of Measure (UOM) “Each” - the report sums the number of items with same Part Number + Part Revision + Supplier Part Number.

  • Components with UOM “Per Length”: Wires and Multicores For items with the same part number, the report sums the values of the “Modified Length” attribute.

Insulations For items with same part number, the report sums the values of the “Calculated Length” attribute.

  • The report also considers Part Revision and Supplier Part Number in its consolidation. Figure 303 shows a cut-down example of how the report consolidates Design 1 and Design 2 BOM items, as shown in Figure 304 and Figure 305. (For illustrative purposes, the report is colored).
