Adding a

Wire with an Associated Library Part

You can add a wire to a harness design by associating a wire from the library.

Procedure

1. Press Space Bar and enter Wires. The Edit Wires Dialog Box is displayed.

2. Click the New button.

3. On the General tab, type a Name for the wire or accept the default offered.

4. Click the ellipsis (...) button to the right of the Library Part field. The Part Selection Dialog Box is displayed to search for and insert a wire from the library. The associated wire will be displayed in the Library Part field.

5. Click OK.

Results

The wire is added to the Wires list on the left of the dialog box, and to the Project browser.
