Replacing the Keystore File in a Capital Installation for Smart Client Package Generation

After you have generated a keystore certificate to manage https connections for a Smart Client, you can use it in a Capital installation used for generating Smart Client packages.

Prerequisites

You must have generated the .keystore file that you want to use. See "Creating a Keystore File for Use in Smart Client HTTPS Connections".

Procedure

  1. Copy the keystore file to the <Capital_installation_directory>/publisher/server-config directory.
  2. Edit the keystorePath attribute in the appropriate configuration xml file for Smart Client package generation (for example, html-packager.xml for HTML packager, change-illustrator.xml for Change Illustrator, and so on) to point to the keystore file. The configuration files are located in the <Capital_installation_directory>/publisher/server-config directory.
  3. In the configuration xml file, change the keystorePassword and managerPassword to be the password you specified when generating the keystore file.
  4. Set the secure attribute of the port-range tag to true.
  5. Generate the Smart Client package.
