Transferring Capital

Database Manager LD Data

To link transformed Capital Database Manager LD data to external parts and symbols, you can transfer the library definitions and symbols to replicate the source data in the Capital database.

Restrictions and Limitations

You cannot cancel stage 4 of the transfer.
If Capital Harness Designer LD is open, you cannot interact with or close Capital Project Manager.

Prerequisites

The following user “Permissions” are selected in Capital Access Manager to enable you to transfer library data: Import Components

Import Symbol Library

Ensure that Capital Harness Designer LD is closed before running the transfer.

Procedure

From Capital Project Manager, click Action > Transfer from Capital Database Manager LD.
In the “Launch Capital Database Manager LD Transfer” dialog box, enter the database server User id and Password.Note If a connection cannot be made to the database, ensure that the connection details defined in the clientprops.xml match your Capital Database Manager LD configuration.

The Transfer Library Parts dialog box opens and details the progress.

When the transfer is complete, click Close.The Capital Database Manager LD library definitions and symbols are replicated in the Capital database, and are available if the LD data is opened in Capital Harness Designer / Modular.
If multiple symbols are referenced by a component part number, you can choose which symbol to display using Capital Component Manager, see “Assigning a Graphical Symbol to a Component” in the Capital Component Manager User Guide.
