Using Quick Editing for an Object Attribute Displayed on a Diagram

You can perform a quick edit of an object attribute value that is displayed on a diagram (for example, the name of an object). This action cannot be used for user‑defined properties or option expressions.

Prerequisites

  • The attribute value must be visible on the diagram.

Procedure

  1. Double-click the attribute value on the diagram.An editable dialog box containing the value is displayed.

  2. Edit the value as required and press Enter to update the value on the diagram.Note If pre-defined values are available for selection, an ellipsis button (...) is displayed next to the field to choose a value. You can click the Click to modify attributes button () or press Alt+Up Arrow to expand the window and display the full Properties Dialog Box for the object.

You can press the Esc button to cancel the action at any time. To edit the graphical display of the text, select it on the diagram and press Alt+Enter to display the Attribute Text dialog box or Name Text dialog box.
