Accessing Capital Dictionary

To work with Capital Dictionary, you must connect to it from a supported web browser. You use the functionality to define and manage network signals and network messages.

Prerequisites

You must have Capital Dictionary installed and have a Capital Networks license to use it.

Procedure

  1. Launch your web browser.

  2. In the address field, enter the following URL:

    http://[server_name]:[port_number]/dictionary

    replacing:

    • [server_name] with the IP address of the computer upon which Capital Dictionary is running
    • [port_number] with the port through which the server is communicating; this is 49901 by default, but it may have been overridden during installation

For example, if Capital Dictionary is running on a machine with the IP address 100.100.0.1 and is communicating on port 49901, enter:

    http://100.100.0.1:49901/dictionary

  3. Click your browser's "Go" button, or press Enter. Capital Dictionary launches, with the login page displayed.

  4. Log in.
