Merging Clips Grommets

and Other Components

The merge process uses a set of criteria to decide whether any Clips, Grommets or Other Components on the selected bundle on the member design and the target bundle on the merged design are equal, similar or different.

Equal

The merge process classes such objects as Equal when all of the following are satisfied:

• The part numbers and attributes are the same.

• The object is attached to the same bundle.

• The object position on the bundle is the same.

Similar

The merge process classes both objects as Similar in the following situation:

• The part number is the same. (you can still Force Merge if they are not the same part number).

• The object is attached to the same bundle.

• There is a difference in: The position on the bundle. (outside the limits defined in the Bundle Tolerance topic)
