Modifying the Bill of Materials

You can modify the contents of the Bill of Materials (BOM) table from within the design. The BOM table is displayed on a diagram and lists the components with library part numbers in a design.

You can configure the display of the table using styling (see the “Capital Diagram Styling User Guide”).

See “Modifying the Composite Bill of Materials” for information on the following options, which are also available to modify the BOM IDs from within the design.

Prerequisites

Ensure you have correctly configured:

• The Project Preferences “BOM ID Naming”

• The System Preference “Include non-BOM objects in BOMID generation”

Procedure

1. Press Space Bar and enter BOM, to view the options to modify the BOM table:Delete IDs

Update IDs

Regenerate IDs

2. Choose the option you require.

3. (Optional) From the Automate ribbon, click BOM IDs and choose one of the following options:Delete IDs

Update IDs

Regenerate IDs
