Component Library

Capital Devices provides seamless access into the component library allowing engineers to create and modify library devices and their properties and attributes.

A device is a component with electrical behavior that is connected to other devices by wires.

It can be anything in a vehicle, for example, a radio, a light or a fuse box.

The functionality also allows you to manage connectors, insulation displacement connectors (IDC) and terminals from within Capital Devices.

Parts created in the Component Library, or from ICDs, can be assigned domains. The Component Library can recognize parts through their domains and use this to determine accessibility to an engineer.

Tip: You can use the drop-down menu in the top-right corner of the screen to switch between Component Library, the Dictionary and Capital Devices.
