Using or Replacing the Self-signed Certificate in an Existing Smart Client Package

After you have generated a keystore certificate to manage https connections for a Smart Client, you can use it in an existing Smart Client package.

Prerequisites

You must have generated the .keystore file that you want to use. See "Creating a Keystore File for Use in Smart Client HTTPS Connections".

Procedure

  1. Copy the generated .keystore file to the <package_output>/lib directory.

Note: The keystore file name must be keystore.

  1. Change the keystorePassword and managerPassword in the <package_output>/Packets/server-config.xml file to be the password you specified when generating the .keystore file.

  2. Restart the server.
