Merged Design Object Color Display - Usage Example

By default, objects on the merged diagram are colored according to a set of rules. You can use styling to enhance this visualization. This topic uses bundles as an example.

Bundle Examples

This figure shows three bundles on a merged diagram.

• Bundles that are merged from more than one member design display in black. See Bundle Example A.

• Bundles from a single member design - display in the member design color. See Bundle Example B.

• Where black bundles contain more than one, but not all, member designs, you can use styling to add colored decorations representing specific member designs and configure their visibility to denote exactly which member designs are present in the bundle. See Bundle Example C. This merged bundle contains the red, purple and blue member designs.

Query Plugins

Use the Should Link Color "x" Be Shown visibility query to control if the decoration should be added.

The plugin checks for the presence of member designs in the merged bundle and returns:

• True if the merged bundle includes more than one but not all member designs.

• False if:

            The bundle contains just one of the member designs
  
            or
  
          
  
          
            The merged bundle includes all of the member designs.
  

You can configure the plugin for up to 10 member designs.

Where the visibility query is true, the decoration will be added to the bundle using the color defined by the Get Linked Design Color "x" query.

This query returns the display color of the member design in question.

You can configure the plugin for up to 10 member designs.
