Resizing an Insulation

Layer on a Diagram

You can increase or decrease the distance from the bundle at which an insulation layer is drawn.

Restrictions and Limitations

The resize option is not available when working in a diagram set to render bundle widths at full scale. See also Full Scale Diagrams and Bundle Width.
Resized insulations revert to their default size if you copy and paste.

Procedure

Decide which side of the insulation layer you want to resize.

If you want to..	Follow these steps
Resize both sides of the insulation layer	Right-click the layer to be resized, either on the diagram or in the Harness Design Browser, and select Resize Both Sides. A button bar is displayed as in Figure 238 (the arrow does not display in this instance). Click the plus (+) button to increase the width of both sides of the insulation layer a single step; click the minus (-) button to decrease it by the same amount. A ghost line dynamically indicates the resizing. The system highlights layers as you resize - see Resizing Insulation Overview. Press Enter, double-click the button bar or Right-click > Commit to confirm.

A button bar and an arrow are displayed. The arrow indicates the side of the insulation selected for resizing. See Figure 238. Click the button or Right-click > Reverse Direction to toggle between the two sides of the insulation, as indicated by the position of the arrow. Click the plus (+) button to increase the size of the insulation side by a single step; click the minus (-) button to decrease it by the same amount. A ghost line dynamically indicates the resizing.
