Terminal Plan Configuration

Terminal plan configuration is specified using a combination of a style set and a configuration file. In the style set, you can specify aspects of styling such as justification and font style.

In the configuration file, you can specify other aspects of styling, such as font type and font color, and the names of properties to use to specify other aspects of terminal plan configuration, such as the order that terminal blocks are listed in the table.

Style

The following aspects of terminal plan table configuration are specified in the style set. See also Creating a Terminal Plan:

• In the Style Sets Dialog Box: Justification.

Nominal origin.

Horizontal and vertical offsets.

Visibility.

• In the New Table Style Dialog Box or Edit Table Style Dialog Box: Font style.

Table border color.

The number of blocks into which a terminal plan is split in designs that contain more than one terminal strip and whether multiple blocks are initially displayed side-by-side or stacked one on top of the next.

Configuration File

All other aspects of terminal plan table configuration are specified in the \config\TerminalPlanConfig.properties configuration file. In this file, you can specify:

• Aspects of table styling such as font type, font size, font color and whether certain columns are displayed or hidden. For each item, a full description is given in the configuration file together, where necessary, with a list of permitted values.

• The names of properties that you can add to terminal blocks to specify aspects of table display such as the order that terminal blocks are listed in the table and the description and characteristics that are displayed at the top of the table. For example, in the configuration file, if the value of “TerminalStripSequenceProperty” is “AssemblySequence”, you can specify the order that terminal blocks are listed in the table by adding a property named AssemblySequence to each terminal block in the terminal strip and, for each terminal block, setting the value of the property equal to the position you want the block to appear in the table. For each property, a full description is available in the configuration file.

1. To display changes to the configuration file on the diagram: Press the space bar and enter Reload Plugins. Press the space bar and enter Update Border to update the diagram border on one of the diagrams in the design.

Select a terminal plan table, press the space bar and enter Apply Style, and then select Home > Styling > Apply from the Search Ribbon dropdown list to apply style.

Note If you make changes to the configuration file then reload plugins and apply style, the changes made in the configuration file will be reflected in the terminal plans in the design even if the “Exclude from Apply Style” option is selected for the terminal plan table in the style set.
