Cable Route Verification

Cable Route Verification is the process of marking the nodes and off-route lengths at both ends of a cable as verified.

To verify that the cable is available for approval, the system identifies if the nodes at both ends of the route are valid, and whether any specified off‑route values (either derived from near node values, or entered manually) are accurate.

Tip

You can select the following project preferences on the Routing tab, if required:

  • Allow On-route Length — Enables verification of on-route values.

  • Auto Verify Route on Approval — Enables the route to be approved without the need to verify the route at both ends. Verification will occur automatically when the cable is approved.

Once the cable route is verified, the nodes and off-route / on-route values are locked and cannot be modified.
