Eligibility Criteria

For an Interface Control Document (ICD) to be available in the design ICD Browser, certain eligibility criteria must be satisfied.

• Applicability The design, its parent project or build list (if currently active) in which it is included, must be configured in any Applicability set for the ICD.

• Domain Domains can be assigned to ICDs. In Capital Logic Designer you can view ICDs whose domains you have read-write or read-only access to. The ICD must have at least one writable domain to be edited. See also “Domain Access” in the Capital Access Manager User Guide.

                    Caution 
                        You can open designs if you have access to the design's domain, even
                            when the designs contain library objects or ICDs from restricted
                            domains.
  

There are a number of settings that must be enabled in the Capital configuration files before using ICDs and accessing the ICD Browser. See also the Capital Configuration Files Reference Guide.

• Release Level Behavior The ICD Design Association Release Level Behavior must be set to “Allowed”.

• Effectivity The effectivity values set on the design must completely or partially overlap with the values configured on the ICD.

No effectivity set: ICD with blank effectivity is applicable to all designs.

Design with blank effectivity is applicable to all ICDs.

Designs with ICDs placed that have an effectivity that no longer matches (for example they have been changed on the design or the ICD) are reported by the DRC.
