Editing Shared Functions

You can edit the shared object definition (the ports, port reservations and associated symbols) of shared functions.

Note

The following should be taken into consideration when editing a shared function.

• When a shared function is frozen you cannot edit its shared object definition in a functional design (though in Capital Project Manager you can still change the Port Reservation Status of the shared object’s ports) and you cannot edit the properties or attributes of it, or of its ports. However, you can still add new instances of the shared function to diagrams, change the appearance of instances of the shared function on diagrams, place ports that exist in the shared object definition onto instances of the shared function and remove ports from instances of the shared object. • If your user account has the Frozen Shared Object Pin Attributes/Properties permission, you can edit the attributes/properties of ports on frozen shared functions. See also “Permissions” in the Capital Access Manager User Guide.
