Viewing Electrical Attributes for Electrical Designs and Topology

Objects

You can view the electrical attributes for topology objects and electrical designs, which have been configured in Capital. You cannot modify the electrical attributes in 3D Electrical Design.

Electrical attributes are only updated during back annotation and the Place Inline action in Routing Assistant.

For more information on object attributes, see Object Attributes and Properties in the Capital Design Tools - Common Functions User Guide.

Prerequisites

  • You have associated wiring designs from Capital Logic Designer with your 3D electrical context. See Wiring Design Association in 3D Electrical Design.

Procedure

  1. Right-click a Capital topology object or design in either:

The Design or Wiring tabs in the Capital Navigator window

The main MCAD graphics window or geometry area

       The context menu appears.

  2. From the context menu choose Capital > Electrical Properties.

Results

The Capital electrical properties dialog box for the object is opened. The attributes are shown as read-only in the Attributes section of the General tab.
