Capital Schematic Generator for Logic Designer > Export and Import Configuration Settings

Importing Configuration Settings

You can automatically populate all the fields on all the tabs of the Query and Generate Design dialog box, Schematic Diagram Generator dialog box, and New Generated Diagrams dialog box, with required settings by importing a previously created configuration file.

Prerequisites

  • You have created a configuration file containing all the required settings . See Exporting Configuration Settings.

Procedure

  1. Open the Query and Generate Design dialog box, Schematic Diagram Generator dialog box, or New Generated Diagrams dialog box and click the Import button . A file chooser dialog box displays.

  2. Navigate to the required location and select the configuration file.

Results

  • The import completes and all the settings on all the tabs of the dialog box are populated with the settings from the configuration file.

  • If the system cannot fully import the file, a message is displayed advising of a partial restore, and a link to a log file detailing all discrepancies is displayed in the Output Tab. This may occur if you are importing the file into a different project / design to the one you created it from, where certain exported data may not exist. In such cases the system sets fields that are not restored in the dialog box to their default values.
