Moving Mated Plugs

You can move plugs that are mated to a device to another position on the same instance of the device. The pins on the plugs, and the pins to which they are mated on the device, also move.

Procedure

  1. To move plugs:Right-click a plug and select Move Connector.

Select multiple plugs on the same side of a device, and then right-click and select Move Connectors.

Select one or more plugs. Press Ctrl+Shift, and then click and drag the plugs.

Select one or more plugs and press Alt+M.

  1. Move the shadow graphics to unoccupied positions on one of the sides of the device.When the plugs are in valid positions, the shadow graphics color changes to the highlight color. If you are moving multiple plugs, you can press R to reverse the order they are arranged in. Figure 45: Moving a Mated Plug

  2. Click to place the plugs.

Results

  • The plugs move to the new location. The pins on the plugs, and the pins to which they are mated on the device, also move.
