Configuring the Attributes and Properties Displayed in Change

History

You must configure default sets and additional sets of attributes and properties for which the change history functionality reports changes. You specify different sets of attributes and properties for each object type. This means that you can limit the reported differences to a meaningful set for you.

Procedure

Navigate to the config/changehistory_config.properites file in your installation, and open it in an editor. The file contains instructions for editing it. This is where you configure the default sets and additional sets, see the example below.

Examples

This section contains text and video examples. The video example shows the Change History tab behavior when All Attributes is and is not selected.

This example section of the file controls the wire attributes and properties for which changes are reported when All Attributes is selected or not selected on the Change History tab.

The first row wire.attributes.default.set shows that changes to the wire attributes PartNumber, WireSpec, WireColor, WireCSA, and WireMaterial are always reported (that is, they are the default set of compared attributes and properties for a wire).

The second row wire.attributes.additional.set shows that changes to an additional set of wire attributes IncludeOnBOM, IncludeOnCutChart, and LengthChangeType are reported (alongside the default set) when All Attributes is selected. Changes to these attributes are not reported when All Attributes is not selected.

The third row wire.properites.default.set shows that there are no wire property changes reported by default.

The fourth row wire.properties.additional.set shows that changes to the wire properties StartTerminalSpec and EndTerminalSpec are reported when All Attributes is selected. Changes for these properties are not reported when All Attributes is not selected.
