Marine Electrical Flow

The Marine Electrical flow defines the source electrical design schematics, creates the 3D cableway in NX, and converts the cableway to a nodal network to enable detailed cable routing in Capital Cable Router.

Stages, from design data definition through to routing cables within the 3D mechanical design:

  1. Define system and project data
  2. Synchronize Interface Control Document (ICD) definitions
  3. Author the electrical design schematic (Nets)
  4. Create the electrical cabling (cables)
  5. Create preliminary cable routing
  6. Optimize the cable route
  7. Approve the route
  8. Save the physical details of the cable (route / length) to Teamcenter

Siemens Teamcenter connects the design data from multiple sources and orchestrates change management across the design applications, including:

  • Siemens Teamcenter / Active Workspace (PLM platform)
  • Capital Device Modeler (device management)
  • (additional applications integrate into this same flow: electrical schematic authoring, 3D cableway/NX, and Capital Cable Router for physical routing)
