Identifying
Impacted Child Designs in Composite Designs
You can identify modifications to design objects and the impact to child designs, as you modify a diagram in a composite design.
Restrictions and Limitations
- If you close the Change Impact - Interactive tab or the design, the identified design modifications, impacted child designs, and the option to revise the designs for those changes, or undo any previous actions, will be lost.
Prerequisites
Composite design containing child designs is open.
A design modification is applied to highlight the impacted designs on the Change Impact - Interactive Tab: Manual changes to the design objects
Engineering Change Order (ECO)
Procedure
- From the Workflow ribbon, click the Change Impact dropdown list () and select Change Impact - Interactive.The following design objects and child designs are displayed on the Change Impact - Interactive tab in the Output window: All the child designs in the composite design are listed in the Child Designs column.
Impacted child designs are marked with a “tick” () in the Impacted column.
Modified design objects are listed in the object columns.
Select a modified design object to highlight the corresponding child designs that are impacted by the change.
If required, continue to modify the design.The Change Impact - Interactive tab updates dynamically to display the modified design objects and the impacted child designs.
