Bundle Configuration
Adding a Static Bundle
You can place a bundle onto a harness design by first specifying the position of the start and end nodes, and then manually entering the length.
Note
This option is unavailable when working in Full Scale Diagrams.
Procedure
Press Space Bar and enter Static. The cursor changes to .
Click to place the bundle:If you click a node, that node is used as the bundle start node.
If you click an empty area of the design, a new structure node is created as the start node.
If you click an existing bundle, away from a node, the Node Position Utility Dialog Box is displayed, to fine-tune the position of the structure node created to join the new bundle to the existing bundle.
- To insert a waypoint onto the bundle, click an empty area of the design, otherwise, terminate the bundle by double-clicking, clicking to place the end node and pressing the Enter key, or by placing the end node and then right-clicking and selecting Commit.If you click a node, that node is used as the bundle end node.
If you click an empty area of the design, a new structure node is created as the end node.
- Specify the bundle Length and press Enter.
Results
- The bundle is placed onto the design. The following bundle entities are displayed: The start and end nodes
A line indicating the bundle’s path
The bundle length
- The bundle is added to the Harness Design Browser. Note The bundle entities listed comprise the default offering as dictated by the style set shipped with Capital Harness Designer. Both the entities displayed, and the appearance of those entities, can be modified. See also the Capital Diagram Styling User Guide.
