Insulation

This chapter explains the methods available to insulate a harness to protect its components from both physical and environmental damage, as well as electrical interference: namely Bundle Insulation, Spot Tape, Breakout Tape, and Overbraids.

Note

Following the introduction of the 2010.2 release, insulation rendering has been improved. If you migrate harness diagrams from 2010.1, or earlier into later versions of the software, it is recommended that you re-apply style to implement the improvements. Any new diagram created from 2010.2 onwards will automatically use the new type of rendering for insulation.
