Plug Variance Management
Dialog Box
To access: Click the Plug Variance Management button on the Production Module Explorer Dialog Box.
Used to configure the inclusion of blanking plugs in the variant calculations when you are generating variant (technical) modules for a selected candidate parent module.

Objects
| Object | Description |
|---|---|
| Connector Selection | Select the required connector from the dropdown list. The list contains all the connectors currently displayed in the Production Module Explorer browser that have their Plugs Required attribute selected. |
| Plug Variance (connector level) | Select to include cavity plugs in the variance analysis and generation for the selected connector. If selected, all rows in the Plug Variance column in the table are automatically selected. |
| Cavity | Connector cavity number. |
| Wires | Name of the wire. Bold font indicates that the wire is not present in the candidate parent module input set. |
| Functional Module Codes | The functional module codes assigned to the wire. |
| Plug Variance (cavity level) | Automatically selected if you select the Plug Variance (connector level) check box. You can clear individual rows to exclude that cavity from the variation calculations. |
Usage Notes
The settings you configure for each connector are remembered and re-display when you re-open the dialog box.
