Saving ICDs from schematics

Schematic device usages and their connectivity can be saved directly to ICDs, without going through the Platform Design / Connectivity Hub tab workflow first. This is useful when a schematic already has real, detailed connectivity that you want captured as an ICD for reuse elsewhere.

Saving a single device

Right-click the device in the schematic: RMB Device → Custom → Save ICD.

Before doing this, make sure Capital Device Server/port is configured — see ICD server configuration.

Note: the same New/Merge vs. Overwrite distinction applies here as documented in ICD save modes — pick the right one depending on whether you want to add to an existing ICD or replace it entirely.

Saving in bulk

Devices within schematics may also be saved in bulk rather than one at a time:

  1. In a Logic Design, select a set of devices whose ICDs you want to save.
  2. Workflow Tab → Custom → Bulk Save ICD New/Merge (or Overwrite).

If no devices are selected, every device on the design will be saved as ICDs — this is a genuine "select nothing = save everything" behavior, not a no-op, so be deliberate about your selection before running Bulk Save if you only want a subset.
