Node Position Utility

Dialog Box

To access: Press Space Bar and enter Node Position Utility (with a mid-bundle node selected) or right-click a mid-bundle node on the diagram and select Node Position Utility.

Used to position a node relative to the start node and end node of a bundle. Opens when an operation requires that a new node be created on a bundle.

Description

The two fields at the top of the dialog box show the current distance at which the node is positioned from the nodes to either side, both of which are displayed beneath the relevant field. The nodes are identified by the name of the component placed there (if present) or otherwise by the node Name.

The position of the placed node can be changed by either:

  • Entering a new value into either field (the other field will update automatically to reflect the change).

  • Dragging the slider left or right until the correct position is displayed. Note Each step on the slider will increase/decrease the node position values by an amount equal to the Physical Scale Value defined for the style set in use.
