Create/Edit ICD Dialog Box
To access: Opens as a new window when the create icon is clicked when creating a new ICD or when the edit icon is clicked when editing an ICD.
The fields in this window are used to specify basic details for an ICD.
Table 1. Create or Edit ICD Dialog Box Contents
| Field | Description |

| Edit | Displays the details for all ICDs in the system to enable you to select the required ICD for the footprint. |
| Revise | Allows you to create a revision of the selected ICD. If you create a revision of an ICD, supplier part numbers and part numbers are not replicated to the new ICD. However, history data provides a link to the original ICD. |
| Copy | Copies the selected ICD and creates a new ICD using the selected one as a template. You can then edit the details of the copy. |
| More Options | Opens a popup window allowing you to either: Delete — to remove the selected ICD from the list; Export — to export ICD data as a .zip file for use on another installation of Capital; Import — to import ICDs as a .zip file and overwrite the existing ICD with the imported data; Import merge — to import ICDs as a .zip file and merge changes into the existing ICDs. |
| Name | The name of the ICD. Click in this field to edit it. |
| Revision | The revision number of the ICD. Click in this field to edit it. Mandatory. |
| Description | Enter a description for the ICD of up to 2048 alphanumeric characters. Optional. |
| Role | Enter the ICD Role. This is the name of the ICD when used in Capital Logic and is derived from the system device OTI. |
| Release Level | The release level of the ICD. Indicates whether it can be selected for use in other applications (Released), if it is still in Draft or whether it can be deleted from the database (Obsolete). This is based on the defined behaviors set against the release levels in Capital Project. Mandatory. |
| Part Number | The part number taken from Capital Library associated with the ICD. |
| Footprint | The footprint assigned to the ICD. Click V in this field to display a list of available footprints, as defined against the associated part, to choose from. |
| Supplier Part | The part number used by the supplier for the component. Click V in this field to display a list of available supplier part numbers, based upon the selected part number, to choose from. |
| Assigned To | The engineer to whom the ICD is to be assigned. |
| Domains | The domains that are to be applied to the ICD. User access to these domains is assigned in Capital User. |
| Applicability | The applicability of the ICD to designs when used in Capital Logic. This is derived from the system device OTI. |
| Properties | Properties assigned to the device used in the ICD. Click the > symbol in the Properties field. |
| Net Usages | Nets are derived from the NET OTI in Capital Project and are used when the ICD is added to a Capital Logic design to automatically route conductors between common signals. You can apply a sort order to any column in the table by clicking V in the column head. Available sort orders are Ascending or Descending. The sort order can be removed by clicking x. |
