Manually Placing

a Bundle Device on a Bundle

You can manually place a bundle device on a bundle in Capital Wiring Integrator if the system has not been able to place it automatically based on existing constraints.

Video

There are two ways of placing bundle devices. This video demonstrates:

  • How to place bundle devices manually.

  • How to place bundle devices using a constraint.

Procedure

In the Wiring Browser (Wiring tab) at the bottom left of the application, click the unplaced bundle device, and then drag and drop it to location on the bundle where you want to place it.

Results

The system places the bundle device at that location.

The system creates a “Place bundle device by Attribute/Property” constraint on that bundle. The constraint includes the offset for the location. This means, the next time you synchronize wiring, the system will place the bundle device in the same location.

The system routes wiring to the placed bundle device.
