Electrical Design

Flow

The source of the required devices and connectivity in the design are determined by the underlying electrical design schematics created in Capital Cabling Designer.

You can perform the following tasks to create the electrical design schematics as part of a generic Marine Electrical flow.

This video demonstrates the tasks to create an example electrical schematic:

  • Synchronizing Interface Control Definitions (ICDs)

  • Synchronizing the Library Data

  • Capturing Design Intent in System Block Designs

  • Generating Logical Schematics

  • Placing ICDs and Updating Devices from ICDs

  • Generating Physical Wiring

  • Reserving New System Parts (BOM items)

  • Defining Terminations (Optional)

  • Publishing the Design and BOM
