Placing the 3D Geometry

You can use the Add Component action in NX to load the 3D assembly associated with the nodal network into the 3D visualization window.

Prerequisites

• Load the nodal network associated with the project in the 3D visualization window.

Procedure

Determine the action you want to take:

If you want to…	Do the following…
Align the 3D assembly with the nodal network in the 3D visualization window.	From NX, click the Assemblies tab. Click Add Component. The Part to Place dialog box is displayed. Select the *.prt file to place. The 3D assembly is aligned on the nodal network in the 3D visualization window. Click Apply, and then click OK.
Customize the appearance of the 3D assembly.	From NX, click the View tab and select the options to modify the transparency of the geometry or the render style of the 3D visualization window.
