Shared and Design-Wide Single Lines

You can create multiple instances of a single line on diagrams in a design (design-wide object) or add a single line to multiple designs (shared object).

Cross-references are supported as on other diagram objects (see Cross-References on Objects or Pins), and you can use the View Related Items functionality to view other instances (see Viewing Another Instance of an Object or Pin).

If you copy and paste a single line on its own, you will create a new single line and not another instance of the same single line. See “Copying and Pasting an Object in a Diagram” in the Capital Design Tools - Common Functions User Guide.
