Troubleshooting Shared Multicores

Symptom: A shield termination cannot be added to a shared multicore.

Causes

You cannot add a shield termination to a shared multicore that does not have any other multicores in its inner cores.

Solution

The following four methods can be used to enable you to add a shield termination:

  • Unshare the multicore, add the required shield termination and then reshare the multicore.

  • In Capital Project Manager, add the shield termination to the shared multicore’s shared object definition. In Capital Logic Designer, refresh Shared Objects then you can add the shield termination to the diagram.

  • Add a multicore with a library part that has a shield termination defined and then share the multicore.

  • Create a new multicore and add a shield termination before sharing the multicore.
