Placing Devices

in Siemens NX from Teamcenter

You can place devices from the breakdown structure in Teamcenter into your 3D MCAD design in NX.

The task of placing devices in 3D space is driven through your Engineering Change processes.

You can perform the following tasks in the Active Workspace and the 3D MCAD design.

Receive notifications and view tasks assigned to you (My Tasks list) in the Active Workspace.
Use the NX design tools to place and align the device in 3D space.
Validate the presence of the device in relation to the devices in the electrical schematic design using cross-highlighting and cross-probing of design data between NX and the Capital software.
