the Nodal Network and Configuring the Display

You must load the nodal network into NX from Capital Cable Router to visualize cable routing on the nodal network in the 3D visualization window.

Prerequisites

• Invoke Capital Cable Router within NX. See Accessing the Embedded Capital Cable Router in NX.

• Select a project in Capital Cable Router.

• Select the Cable Router tab in NX.

Procedure

Determine the action you want to take:

If you want to…	Do the following…
Load the nodal network.	Click Load Vessel. The nodal network associated with the project is displayed in the 3D visualization window.
Unload the nodal network.	Click Unload Network. The nodal network is removed from the 3D visualization window.
Load a specific subset of the physical project structure to avoid loading the complete nodal network of the vessel.	See Selective Loading the Nodal Network.
Load the From and To devices and the areas of the nodal network associated with the cable route when you select a cable.	See Automatically Load Areas of the Nodal Network.
Customize the appearance of the nodal network graphics.	Click Settings and modify the options as required. The Nodal Network Settings Dialog Box is displayed.
