Using Proportional Bundle

Stretch

When making diagram changes to a harness design, you can configure the system to provide automatic proportional repositioning of nodes when bundles are resized.

The system remembers the last setting (On/Off) for Proportional Bundle Stretch and starts any new session using the last specified preference. The setting is enabled by default. You may also use the accelerator key option (Ctrl+Shift+R) to toggle the setting.

The Proportional Bundle Stretching: On/Off icon () is displayed on the status bar. The icon toggles the mode setting.

You can use the Shift key to toggle the setting during an interactive bundle resizing operation. This will give you visual feedback of the effect of the resizing.

Procedure

1. Turn on Proportional Bundle Stretch by one of the following:Press Space Bar and enter Proportional Bundle Stretch. Press Ctrl+Shift+R. Click the Proportional Bundle Stretching icon () in the status bar.

2. Select the bundle to resize.

3. Move the cursor over the node on the bundle so that the Stretch icon () is displayed next to it.

4. Hold down the left mouse button and drag the point to resize the bundle. As the bundle is resized, the old and new positions of the reference nodes are displayed so that you can see the effect of resizing.Note If you resize your bundle so that all nodes appear on top of each other then you may need to reposition your nodes.
