Merging Bundles

The merge process uses a set of criteria to decide whether the selected bundle on the member design and the target bundle on the merged design are equal, similar, or different.

Equal

The merge process classes both objects as equal when all of the following are satisfied:

  • The length values of both bundles are the same within a given tolerance. See also “Bundle Tolerance”.

  • The bundle insulation is the same on both.

  • All attached component (clips, grommets, splices, others and so on) are the same.

  • Any defined Min Bend Radius is the same.

Similar

The merge process classes both objects as Similar in the following situation:

  • There is a difference which makes it not equal, for example, the bundles have the same length but different insulation or same length but different components attached.
