Application Interface

Groups Browser

The Groups Browser is located on the lower left side of the application window and is opened by clicking the Groups tab.

The Groups Browser contains:

  • Add attribute / property button ()

Click to open the Edit Group Dialog Box where you specify how you want objects to be grouped.

  • Browser tree Lists objects in the currently active design revision, grouped according to the settings specified in the Edit Group dialog box. You can change the value of a property or an editable attribute of objects by dragging them from one folder to another in the browser tree. (Editable attributes are those listed in the Editable Attributes field in the Edit Group Dialog Box.) If you drag an object to a folder where objects are grouped by property but the object does not have that property, the property is added to the object.

Tip If the cursor indicates that dragging an object from one folder to another is valid but the object fails to move when you drop it, see the Output Window for an explanation.

This video shows how to use the Groups Browser:

Tip

You can press the space bar and enter Toggle Browser Area to hide / show the Groups Browser and other browsers.
