Edit Project User Permissions

There are various user permissions related to editing projects.

Analysis Allows you edit an Analysis Project Model. Even if you do not use Capital Analysis, you must have this permission checked if you want to import and export projects that do have Analysis Project Models attached to them. Analysis Administration Allows Administrator level privileges on the Analysis database, enabling read/write access to menu items including; Import Old Folder From..., Import Design Description... and Unlock VHDL Models. Build Lists The ability to create or maintain Logic, Topology, Analysis, Capital Function, and Harness build lists. Define Change Policies The ability to create change policies or maintain change policies. Create new change policies Edit change policies Delete change policies
Design Abstractions The ability to create or maintain design abstractions. Design Folder The ability to control the creation, deletion, movement, and renaming of design folders. Edit Attached Data The ability to attach data to a design or project when using the API. Attach data to a project when using the API Note To attach data to a design, you need only the Edit Design user permission for the respective application. To attach data to a project, you need this permission.
Edit Design The ability to create or maintain designs in the Capital tools. Expand the Edit Design folder and select the types of design that you wish the user to be able to modify. Note Editing Design Content: When a user does not have the Edit Design permission, the design is available to the user in read-only mode. The user cannot edit any content on the design and any actions that would result in a design change is either disabled or fails on execution. See Note at bottom of next column. Edit Design Domain The ability to control the editing or assignment of domains on a design during edit, copy, revise and create design flows. Edit Design Details Creating a Revision of a Design Generate Wiring Diagram Create New Design Copy within Current Project Copy Advanced Evaluate Design Import Functional Connectivity Schematic Generator: Query and Generate Design New Derivative Create Detailed Design Import Designs (Overwrite existing design) Design Revisioning Service Design Import Task (CED) Import Design Web Service Note In order to perform the above actions, this permission works in conjunction with other respective permissions.For example: In the case of Edit Design Details, if the user has the Edit Design Domain permission selected, but not Edit Design, then the current behavior will be maintained, where the user will not be able to open the dialog box to edit the design.

Edit Studies The ability to create and edit studies when using Capital Architect, Capital Systems Integrator, and Capital Wiring Integrator. Delete Edit Study Create new Study
Effectivity The ability to create, maintain, or assign effectivity levels. Engineering Change Order - Deletion The ability to delete engineering change orders. Delete existing Engineering Change Order
Engineering Change Order - Modify The ability to modify engineering change orders. Engineering Change Order - Release Level Change The ability to change the release level of engineering change orders. Modify release levels on existing or new Engineering Change Order
Frozen Shared Object Pin Attributes/Properties Shared objects used in released designs are frozen and read-only. However, you may need to modify attributes or properties on a frozen shared object pin that is not used in a released design. This permission enables you to edit attributes and properties on a pin on a frozen shared object if that pin has not been used in a released design. If you do not have this permission, you cannot edit a frozen shared object pin under any circumstances. Functional Module Code Maintenance The ability to create, delete or maintain Functional Module Codes at project level in Capital Harness Designer Modular. Note The setting of this permission does not restrict the ability to edit functional module codes that are defined at design level. Production Module Code Maintenance The ability to create, delete or maintain Production Module Codes at project level in Capital Harness Designer Modular.
