Bundle Size Calculations

The system uses formulas to calculate bundle diameters during Harness Engineering.

The method used is set in the Capital Harness Designer > Harness Engineering Project Preference Bundle Size Calculation Method. Each of the methods utilizes a combination of formulas to calculate the bundle diameter.

• Worst case - Basic (Default) The Bundle Diameter equals the greater of the following calculation results: Navy Table Calculation

Bundle Un-Factored CSA Calculation is run. If this is the greatest result, Bundle Factored CSA Calculation is used.

• Worst case - Enhanced The Bundle Diameter equals the greater of the following calculation results: Navy Table Calculation

Combined Outside Diameter

• Navy Table The Bundle Diameter equals the greater of the following calculation results: Navy Table Calculation

Combined Outside Diameter

• Summed CSA x Factor The Bundle Diameter equals the greater of the following calculation results: Bundle Factored CSA Calculation
