Fixtures
Folder in the Harness Design Browser
Formboard fixtures are displayed in the Fixtures folder in the Harness Design browser. Fixtures are categorized into the following sub-folders depending on where they are placed.
Fixtures are denoted by the Fixture icon (.) in the browser.
The Fixtures folder is only visible in the Harness Design Browser when Capital Formboard Designer is displaying full scale width diagrams.
Any Fixture Additional Components that you have configured against the fixture part number are nested below the main fixture as in Figure 308.
The Fixture icon () against such a nested item denotes that you have defined a Position for that additional component (“Feet” for example).
The Additional Component “OTH3893:Shaft-1” does not have a Position defined. See also “Fixtures” in the Capital Component Manager User Guide.
Figure 308: Fixtures Display in Browser
The Fixtures folder only displays fixtures that are present on the currently open diagram.
Where a fixture is placed as a Multi Location Primary Node (see Fixture Placement Component Constraint), it is displayed in the folder that matches the component group of the Multi-location Component (MLC). For example, if the MLC is a grommet, the fixture supporting this grommet is displayed in the Grommets folder.
